Carter Allen
Attorney at Law
Carter Allen earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Hampden-Sydney College in 2016 and received his Juris Doctorate from Liberty University School of Law in 2019.
Carter joined the firm in 2019, and primarily practices in the areas of divorce, custody, criminal and traffic defense, civil litigation and landlord/tenant law. He has advocated for clients throughout numerous courts in the Commonwealth of Virginia and enjoys spending his days in the courtroom. Carter is the Assistant Commissioner of Accounts in Buckingham County and serves on the Board of Directors for Crossroads Community Services Board
Carter is a second-generation attorney. His father, F. Acie Allen, Jr. was a practicing attorney in Buckingham County for more than thirty years prior to retiring in 2022. Prior to law school, he worked as a special assistant to the Director of Hampden-Sydney’s Alumni Relations Department. The driving force behind his decision to attend law school was to return to his community and serve the residents of Southside Virginia, where he has always called home.
An avid sports fan, specifically football, Carter has previously coached football at Buckingham County High School and Chatham High School. He lives in “red clay country”, Buckingham County, where he has always called home, with his wife, Kinsey, and their two dogs Casper and Riley.
