Catherine Kline Douglass
Associate Attorney
Catherine Kline Douglass is a Knoxville, Tennessee native and third-generation lawyer. She graduated, cum laude, from Sewanee: The University of the South in 2018 with a degree in Political Science. Catherine attended Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama, where she was a merit scholarship recipient and a Scholar of Merit for Secured Transactions before graduating, cum laude, in 2021.
Immediately following graduation, Catherine began her career as an Assistant Attorney General in Montgomery, Alabama, where she primarily represented the State of Alabama in all appeals before state and federal appellate courts.
Catherine moved to Virginia in 2023 and joined the firm in March 2024. Her primary practice areas include real estate law, business law and formation, and estate planning. Catherine’s background gives her a vast understanding of substantive legal principles and the legal process.
Catherine and her husband, Jay, who is corporate counsel for Kyanite Mining Corporation, reside in Farmville, VA with their pets; and, enjoy being closer to their family residing in Buckingham, VA.
